OVERVIEW
This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Sportsroof is presented as a true Q-code car powered by a Cobra Jet 351ci V8 mated to a C6 three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes front and rear spoilers, a Ram Air hood, Magnum 500 wheels, power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in black with silver accents over an ivory and silver vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a Marti Report and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The black exterior is accented by silver for the side stripes, rocker panels, and Ram Air hood with retention pins. Exterior features include a chin spoiler, dual sport mirrors, a rear spoiler, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Magnum 500-style 15-inch wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The 2+2 interior is furnished with ivory and silver vinyl high-back front bucket seats, an ivory rear bench seat, and matching materials for the door panels and headliner. Features include a wood-rim steering wheel, woodgrain dash trim, air conditioning, a radio, and rubber floor mats.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, a fuel gauge, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack for the oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. A five-digit mechanical odometer tracks mileage, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The Q-code 351ci Cobra Jet V8 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock intake, a Holley carburetor, and headers. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a C6 Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission and a nine-inch rear end.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping ability comes from power-assisted disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. Steering is power-assisted.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes a Marti Report. The selling dealer has provided a walk-around video below that shows the exterior, interior, engine starting and idling, and a driving demonstration.

Very small bubbles . Paint is older paint job and any bubbles that have came out have presented themself , a couple small ones are noted minor nothing major at all. The previous owner spent close to 5k in 2021 rebuilding the transmission and other components .
