OVERVIEW
This restored 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 is powered by a 352ci big-block V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power brakes, power steering, a retractable hardtop, an AM radio, and a custom cargo cover. Finished in salmon and white over a salmon, beige, and black vinyl and cloth interior, this Fairlane is available now and comes from the selling dealer with promotional materials and a clear title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The exterior was refinished during the restoration in a salmon and white two-tone. Features include chrome bumpers, full-length bodyside trim, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, rocker trim, stainless steel rear fender skirts, and a power-retractable hardtop. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black steel wheels with full hub caps is wrapped in whitewall bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in salmon and beige vinyl with black cloth inserts. Features include power steering, power brakes, manual windows, a column-mounted automatic shifter, and an AM radio.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. An aftermarket panel with gauges for the coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure is mounted under the dashboard. The odometer reads 99,272 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an H-code 352ci big-block V8 and backed by an automatic transmission. Underhood features include blue valve covers, a blue closed-element air cleaner with a Thunderbird decal, a See Clear washer fluid bag, and a coolant overflow bottle.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Fairlane is equipped with an independent front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, and a solid rear drive axle. Braking has been upgraded to power front discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
