1978 FORD BRONCO

OVERVIEW

This 1978 Ford Bronco is powered by a 460ci V8 backed by an automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A set of eight-hole aluminum wheels with locking front hubs is wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A radial tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in brown vinyl and multi-colored cloth. Features include a forward-tilting front passenger seat, a center console, a floor-mounted transfer case shifter, a digital Kenwood AM/FM stereo, a column-mounted automatic shifter, and a two-spoke steering wheel with woodgrain accents, cruise control buttons, and a black grip. Additional features include manual windows, power steering, and power brakes. The selling dealer notes that the headliner has damage and the interior shows wear, which can be seen in the photos to the right.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

An 85-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and alternator are located ahead of the driver. An aftermarket panel with gauges for the oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature is located under the dashboard. The odometer reads 43,528 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 460ci V8 engine and backed by an automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Underhood features include blue valve covers, an aluminum Edelbrock intake, a chrome Edelbrock air filter, and a Mallory ignition system.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Bronco was factory-equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear drive axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. A lift kit has been added to the suspension. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A single exhaust system with a catalytic converter exits at the rear.
