OVERVIEW
This unmodified 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 is a limited-production 30th Anniversary convertible that has driven 4,068 miles since new. It was garage-kept in Wisconsin-owned long-term and is powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Equipment includes polished aluminum 17-inch wheels, a dual exhaust system, ram air, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Finished in Arctic White with a power-retractable blue top over a white leather interior, this fourth-generation Firebird is now offered by the selling dealer with supporting documentation, an owner’s manual, a limited-edition clock, a window sticker, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Indiana title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Firebird Trans Am convertible is dressed in Arctic White with a navy blue cloth power-retractable top. It was one of 1,600 30th Anniversary commemorative units produced for the model year and is reportedly free of any prior paint work or repairs. Features include daytime running lamps, fog lamps, ram air induction, blue accent striping, a glass rear window, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Polished and blue-accented 17-inch five-spoke wheels with 30th Anniversary center caps are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-tone cockpit is fitted with white Prado leather upholstery on the front buckets, the rear jump seats, and the door panels, contrasted by black finishes for the dash, console, and carpeting. The seats feature blue embroidery and adjustable lumbar supports, and additional cabin amenities include air conditioning, a Delco AM/FM/CD audio system, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and a rear window defogger. A placard on the center console designates this as vehicle number 0209 in the production run.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 4,068 miles, which is consistent with the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was rated at 320 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen GU6 G80 limited-slip differential with 3.42-ratio gearing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The suspension was performance-tuned from the factory, and stopping power comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report states that this is an accident-free and damage-free vehicle, with the most recent record appearing in 2011. The sale includes documentation, an owner’s manual, a commemorative clock, and a window sticker showing a $35,660 original retail price including destination.
