1971 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE

OVERVIEW

This frame-off-restored 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle restomod is powered by a rebuilt 454ci big-block V8 bored .060 over. Features include a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power disc brakes, a new interior and vinyl roof, power steering, air conditioning, a new Alpine stereo with Bluetooth, and recent paint correction and ceramic coating. Finished in metallic gold with black stripes over a black vinyl interior, this Chevelle is available now and comes with receipts, parts manuals, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

During the frame-off rotisserie restoration, this Chevelle was refinished in an Audi shade of metallic gold with black SS stripes. Features include chrome bumpers, a black grille with chrome trim and an SS emblem, a functional cowl-induction hood with hood pins, dual mirrors, a new black vinyl top, wheel opening moldings, and a rear bumper-mounted SS emblem.  

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 17-inch polished aluminum five-spoke wheels is wrapped in Goodyear tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bucket seats, rear seat, trim, and door panels have been reupholstered in new black vinyl. Features include a new black headliner, a black center console with a horseshoe shifter and a locking storage compartment, manual windows, SS emblems, power steering, and power brakes. Additional features include a new Alpine stereo with Bluetooth and hands-free capabilities, an amplifier, a tilt steering column connected to a three-spoke billet steering wheel with a leather grip, and air conditioning. The seller states that the air conditioning needs two lines replaced, a new condenser, and a recharge.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. Two auxiliary readouts are mounted at the front of the center console. The odometer reads 1,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 454ci V8 that has been bored .060 over. The engine is backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission equipped with a shift kit and a stall converter. Underhood features include orange aluminum valve covers, a cowl-induction air cleaner with a K&N filter, a polished Edelbrock intake, a polished aluminum timing chain cover, a polished aluminum Vintage Air Front Runner serpentine belt accessory drive bracket system with billet aluminum pulleys, a polished water pump, a chrome alternator, and a polished air conditioning compressor. Additional features include a chrome brake master cylinder, a body-color firewall, black Ring Brothers billet aluminum hinges, ceramic-coated headers, a polished aluminum radiator with dual SPAL electric fans, a polished aluminum power steering reservoir, and a polished aluminum coolant overflow tank. A full tune-up that included new spark plugs and spark plug wires was recently completed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevelle was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Upgraded power disc brakes bring the car to a stop. During the restoration, the underbody was repainted to match the body. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states that new steering components and new bushings have been installed.
