OVERVIEW
This 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible has a newly installed power-retractable top and is powered by a 351ci V8 mated to a C6 three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes whitewall tires, an 8-track radio, woodgrain interior trim, and factory air conditioning. Finished in burgundy and equipped with a white retractable top over a white vinyl and leather interior, this second-generation Cougar is now offered by the selling dealer with promotional literature, an owner’s manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
Originally finished in Bright Blue (color code 3J), the exterior was subsequently repainted burgundy. It features a newer white power-retractable top as well as quad headlights, chrome brightwork, bodyside moldings, color-keyed mirror caps, and a dual exhaust outlets

Steel wheels with full covers are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-tone interior is fitted with white vinyl and leather (trim code DW) high-back bucket front seats, matching rear seats and door panels, and a black dashboard, center console, and carpeting. Amenities include a push-button radio, woodgrain trim, power windows, a power driver's seat, factory air conditioning, an 8-track audio system, and a vinyl-lined trunk with a spare tire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 67,869 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The carbureted 351ci V8 sends power to the rear wheels via a console-shifted C6 three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE

The last thing I want is a surprise arriving at my door, after I’ve paid for a vehicle. Your reluctance to publicly disclose is concerning.

The blower motor works, the A/C compressor needs to be recharged.

The Xr7 runs and drives smooth . Starts right up no smoke . This is a turn key car . Shifts smooth and stops on a dime .
