EXTERIOR - FEATURES

This Corvette was reportedly sold new at V.V. Cooke Chevrolet in Louisville, Kentucky. The exterior has been refinished in the original color of Satin Silver (code 940). Features include chrome bumpers, hide-away headlights, a forward-opening hood, a driver-side mirror, rocker trim, a rear-mounted antenna, and a flip-up fuel filler cap. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch aluminum Kelsey-Hayes knock-off wheels with chrome tri-bar center caps is wrapped in 6.70x15 Firestone bias-ply tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a center console; a manual shifter; manual windows, steering, and brakes; an AM/FM stereo; and a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 39,885 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a reportedly numbers-matching, mechanically fuel-injected L84 327ci V8 and backed by a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Output when new was 375 horsepower. The restored engine bay features cast-aluminum Corvette valve covers, a correct air intake assembly, a chrome distributor cover, a windshield washer, and cast iron exhaust manifolds.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Corvette was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle with Positraction. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
