OVERVIEW
This restored 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback has been with the seller for eight years and is powered by a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 backed by a BorgWarner five-speed manual transmission. Features include power rack-and-pinion steering, power front disc brakes, factory air conditioning, power windows, a power trunk, heated and power-adjustable 2006 Mustang front bucket seats, and a Sony AM/FM/XM stereo. Finished in black over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is available now and comes with service records, receipts, and a clear Texas title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The restoration was completed under previous ownership. The black exterior features chrome bumpers, a hood scoop, dual mirrors, color-matched flush-fit Kindig It Designs door handles, rolled fenders, and a rear spoiler. The seller states that when the windows are raised, they stop a quarter inch from the top rubber seal.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17" x 8" front and 18" x 9" rear Foose Legend wheels is wrapped in 215/45/17 front and 245/40/18 rear radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The heated and power-adjustable 2006 Mustang front seats and the rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a center console with a storage compartment and a five-speed manual shifter, a tilt steering column, a three-spoke Forever Sharp billet aluminum steering wheel, factory air conditioning, and a Sony AM/FM/XM stereo. Power features include the brakes, windows, steering, and trunk release.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 9,243 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 and backed by a BorgWarner five-speed manual gearbox. Engine bay features include Ringbrothers billet aluminum hood hinges, an export brace, an aluminum radiator, and an electric fan. The battery is located in the trunk.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. The suspension has been upgraded with Hotchkis Sport Suspension parts. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
