OVERVIEW
This 1971 Ford Torino GT convertible is powered by a 302ci V8 engine backed by a Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power convertible top, air conditioning, and power steering. Finished in Dark Blue Metallic and equipped with a white soft top over a black vinyl interior, this Torino GT is available now and comes with a window sticker, the removed original wheels and body trim, a spare wheel, and a clear Texas title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior has been refinished in the original color of Dark Blue Metallic (code X) as seen on the window sticker. Features include chrome bumpers, a hood scoop, a fender-mounted antenna, dual color-keyed sport mirror caps with a manual driver-side remote, side impact trim, rocker moldings with GT emblems, wheel opening moldings, and a power white vinyl convertible top with a glass rear window. The seller states that rust behind the rear wheels was repaired with fiberglass and is only noticeable from underneath the car.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of Scott Drake Magnum 500 wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power steering, manual brakes, air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth capabilities, and manual windows. The seller states that the top goes up and down smoothly, but the air conditioning does not blow cold and may need a recharge.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. With 500 miles added to it during current ownership, the rolled-over odometer reportedly reads 108,500 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 302ci V8 engine and backed by a Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. Mickey Thompson finned aluminum valve covers have been added. An oil change was recently completed and a new radiator, intake manifold gasket, and thermostat were installed within the last four months.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Torino was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with a Traction-Lok differential. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states that the front end has been equipped with new tie rods, ball joints, and bushings, and a power steering ram has been installed.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include a window sticker, the removed original wheels and body trim, and a spare wheel as part of the sale.
The car is currently sitting in a warehouse in Texas along with other cars I own. I am on a month to month basis with the warehouse. I feel pretty good we are good for at least two months as long as payment is made in full at the time that the auction is closed. I will work with you and give you as much heads up as I can if the car needs to be shipped sooner. So I think we are good till the end of June after that its an unknown.
Hello, How soon does she need to ship… overseas until July and thinking logistics. Thank you [email protected] Joe
@RattleandSnap – @Leelittle can you tell us if all the gauges and lights work? How about the AC? Thank you. ...
All of the gages work as they should. The AC which is something I have never used, blows but not cold. It may just need some refrigerant. (this car was bought for weddings and photo shoots and the AC has never actually been used)
@Leelittle can you tell us if all the gauges and lights work? How about the AC? Thank you.
