@Sonnyl – Is this car permitted to be driven on the highway ,as configured? If it is what would be the safe speed for use? Tks, Sonny, ...

Current owner has driven the car at 35-40 mph and reports that it tracks well and does not wander. He also stated that it requires a lot of attention when driving as it only has rear drum brakes that work fine but they have obvious limitations. He never registered it (didn't try, not that he could not) so he is not sure if it can be registered due to what one might expect safety wise. Open car no belts for example. I am personally pretty sure that the only safety equipment required on antique cars is only that which it came with when built so would probably pass inspection in this State. Thanks
