1963 FORD FALCON FUTURA

OVERVIEW

This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura is the result of a full restomod build and is powered by a 347ci stroker V8 backed by a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Features include modern power steering, a tilt steering column, air conditioning, a Global West independent front suspension, four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, Stewart Warner gauges, and Coys wheels. Recently refinished in white and equipped with a new black convertible top over a new black vinyl interior, this Falcon Futura is available now and comes from the selling dealer with an owner’s manual; build documentation; restoration, parts, and service receipts; and a clear Texas title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the exterior was refinished in white and equipped with a new black convertible top and a new top boot. It features chrome bumpers, an aluminum grille, and hood scoop trim. Additional features include a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, and rear body trim with Ford badging and Futura lettering.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of chrome 17-inch Coys wheels is wrapped in 225/45/17 Extensa HP radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The new interior is furnished with front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, trim, and door panels upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power steering, manual brakes and windows, air conditioning, a center console with an automatic transmission shifter, an AM radio, a tilt steering column, and a 1967 Mustang steering wheel with a wood rim. Additional features include a new black dash pad, new black carpeting with sound insulation, and a new convertible top well cover.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

This Falcon has been upgraded with a set of Stewart Warner gauges. According to the selling dealer, the odometer reads 2,662 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 347ci stroker V8 and backed by a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission from Monster Transmission & Performance. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake, a four-barrel carburetor, a chrome air cleaner, reinforcement braces, and an aluminum radiator. The battery has been relocated to the trunk.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Falcon is equipped with a Global West independent front suspension with tubular control arms and coil-over shocks, and a solid rear drive axle with a limited-slip differential. Braking is provided by manual Wilwood drilled and slotted discs. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear. A new fuel tank and undercoating were installed during the restoration.
