OVERVIEW
This 1971 Plymouth GTX is currently owned by former NASCAR driver and Fox NASCAR analyst Ricky Craven and was put through a rotisserie restoration by High-Octane Restorations of Savannah, Georgia. It is the only "Export Only" model produced in its color and equipment configuration listed in Galen Govier's Tag Service registry. Power is reportedly supplied by a numbers-matching powertrain that includes a 440ci V8 and a TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission, both of which were rebuilt in 2021. Features include the Air Grabber intake package, a Slap Stick shifter, a reconditioned AM radio with an aftermarket Audiovox FM converter, the original rebuilt carburetor, and an Accurate Exhaust Products exhaust system. Finished in In-Violet Metallic over a black vinyl interior, this GTX is available now and comes from the selling dealer with an authenticity report and a build sheet from Galen Govier's Tag Service, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the rotisserie restoration, the exterior and underbody were refinished in the original factory color of In-Violet Metallic (code FC7). Features include chrome bumpers, black side accent stripes, a GTX hood with an Air Grabber intake bubble and hood pins, a driver-side mirror with a manual remote, a black vinyl top, rocker and wheel well trim, and black rear accents. Ricky Craven is shown posing with the car in the gallery to the right. An exterior walk-around video with interior and engine bay footage is available below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver 15-inch Plymouth Rallye wheels with silver center caps and polished trim rings is wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas F70-15 bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels were reupholstered in new black vinyl. Features include new carpeting, seat belts, and headliner; simulated woodgrain accents; a center console with a storage compartment and a Slap Stick automatic transmission shifter; manual steering, windows, and brakes; tinted glass; a reconditioned AM radio with new front and rear OEM (original equipment manufacturer) speakers; an aftermarket Audiovox FM converter; and an original cassette tape player with a dictation microphone.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 150-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, alternator, and coolant temperature are located in a simulated woodgrain panel ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 76 miles, reflecting the mileage accrued since it was reset at the completion of the restoration. According to Ricky Craven Motorsports of Landis, North Carolina, this GTX had 30,000 original miles on it when the odometer was reset.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 440ci "Wedge" V8 and backed by a 727 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. According to the selling dealer, the numbers-matching engine, transmission, and 8.75-inch Sure-Grip differential with 3.23 gears were rebuilt in 2021. Engine output was 370 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque when new. The restored body-color engine compartment features an orange engine block, intake, heads, and valve covers; the original rebuilt Carter AFB (aluminum four-barrel) carburetor; an air cleaner with an Air Grabber seal assembly; and a Delco battery cover.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The selling dealer notes that most components are correctly date-coded and details such as inspection marks and paint daubs have been addressed. Braking is provided by a dual-circuit master cylinder and manual four-wheel drums. An Accurate Exhaust Products dual exhaust system exits at the rear through a pair of chrome outlets with red inserts.

The purchase includes authentication documentation and a build sheet from Galen Govier's Tag Service.
