SUBURBAN 2500-BASED 1956 CHEVROLET TASK FORCE

OVERVIEW

This 1956 Chevrolet Task Force truck is based on a 2000s-era Suburban 2500 chassis and is powered by a 6.0-liter LS V8 backed by a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Engine bay features include a Stage 2 Brian Tooley Racing No Springs Required camshaft, exhaust headers, an electric air conditioning compressor, a fresh air intake tube with a conical air filter, and a relocated engine management computer. UNDERCARRIAGE

The body has been mounted on a 2000s-era Suburban 2500 chassis with an independent front suspension, a rear drive axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
