Vehicle Story

This 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 is finished in white over a black interior and is one of 1,943 North American Spec trucks imported into the US in 1994. Power is provided by a 3.9-liter V8 engine paired to its factory-installed R380 5-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes air-conditioning, long-range suspension, rock sliders, and accessory roof-mounted lights, among others. Having spent a year under original ownership in New York, the D90 has spent the remainder of its life in Colorado with its second owner. Now showing 115K miles, the D90 carries with it factory literature, workshop manuals, both a removable soft top and hardtop, service records, a clean CARFAX, and now offered by the selling dealer on a clear Colorado title.

Finished in Alpine white, numerous upgrades have been installed for improved off-road capability and body protection. The front features a Rockware custom front bumper, with a steel cable winch from Superwinch. Black diamond plate wing protectors were installed while four Hella 55w off-road lights are mounted to the roof. Terrafirma rock sliders were installed on the rocker panels along with black diamond plate protective panels on the quarters. The rear features a custom bumper with a NATO hitch and 2" receiver hitch, as well as taillight guards. The truck comes with both a Rovers North soft top and an original Land Rover hardtop, which are in like-new condition.

16” factory alloy wheels are finished in silver and wear Goodyear Wrangler MTR all-terrain tires measuring 285/75 on all four corners. An ARB tire pump-up kit is featured and included in the sale, as are Scorpion wheel spacers. The steering stabilizer, front shocks, and springs are all new units from Old Man Emu, while the rear is equipped with a Rockware rear droop kit with Rancho 9000 shocks.

The interior features front bucket seats upholstered in gray cloth with a matching bench seat in the rear.  Features include a Cobra CB radio with an external speaker, onboard air compressor, Tuffy center console, and a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo head unit with both door and rear-mounted speakers. Black rubber mats protect the floor and surround the shifters for the 4-speed transmission and transfer case.

Behind the factory steering wheel sits the gauge cluster, including a 6K-rpm tachometer, and a 120-mph speedometer. Additional readouts for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure are provided. The six-digit analog odometer reads just over 115k miles, which are original to the truck

Under the hood sits the 3.9-liter V8 engine mated to the factory R380 5-speed manual transmission, which powers all four wheels through a 2-speed transfer case. Upgrades include custom cooling fans with driver override switch and a high torque cold-weather starter. A newly installed NRP stainless steel exhaust system was also installed and shown in the gallery. The front and rear axles were replaced with Ashcroft hardened alloy high strength units, both equipped with ARB air-lockers.

Undercarriage photos show the upgraded underbody protection components, including a Wing Air front skid plate, Safairgard hardened steering rod, swivel rod, drag rod armor box, and front & rear differential protectors. A Rovers North hot-dipped fuel tank guard and skid plate are also installed.

Recent servicing In November 2020 includes resurfacing the flywheel, installing two new oxygen sensors, a new engine rear main seal, transmission case re-seal, a new clutch, and all new fluids. Additionally, the head gaskets were replaced 11k miles ago

@Dreamer – Whomever is successful at purchasing this vehicle how long do they have to retrieve it ? Also you say it has a hardtop will you be installing the hardtop on the vehicle for trans portion or will they need a trailer or truck to haul the top away ? Could it all be transported by a carrier ! ...

As long as it isn't too long we can work with you on time window. The hard top is currently apart in it's original packaging so does not take up alot of space. We can install the hard top if that is what is desired but install not included in the sale price. I would need to check with my technician in regards to install time. the hard top might even fit in the defender for easier transport by the chosen carrier.

@rwfisher23 – Would it be possible for someone local to swing by and see the vehicle? Happy to coordinate offline if that's a possibility. Thx ...

Yes you are welcome to come to the shop and see the vehicle, even test drive if you like. A little heads up as to your ETA would be helpful because we need to move it out of the showroom. Thank You, Dena 720-600-2271
