OVERVIEW
This rotisserie-restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS SS Z11 pace car convertible was built in Chevrolet's Norwood, Ohio plant and is one of 3,675 produced. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 and backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, a cowl-induction hood, an AM radio, a manual convertible top, and a Z11 Pace Car appearance package. Finished in Dover White with orange Z28-style stripes and equipped with a white vinyl convertible top over an orange vinyl and houndstooth cloth interior, this Camaro is available now and comes from the selling dealer with ownership history, restoration photos, the original owner’s manual and warranty card, an original program from the 1969 Indianapolis 500, pictures of the original delivery documents, a model car, a Camaro hat, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the rotisserie restoration completed in 2009, the exterior was finished in Dover White (code 50) with Orange Z28-style stripes. Features include vacuum-operated hide-away headlights, chrome bumpers, a black front chin spoiler, a cowl-induction hood, a fender-mounted antenna, a white vinyl manual convertible top with a plastic rear window, orange side accent stripes, dual mirrors, a one-piece rear spoiler, and RS taillights and reverse lights. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver Chevrolet Rally wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings is wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in orange vinyl with orange houndstooth cloth inserts. Features include deluxe door panels with manual windows, black carpeting, an AM radio, power steering, power brakes, woodgrain accents, and a column-mounted automatic shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are mounted ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 75,199 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci V8 and backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Camaro is equipped with an independent front suspension and a 12-bolt rear end with 3.07:1 gears. Braking is performed by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The underside of the body, the front chassis stub, and the suspension parts have been cleaned and refinished in matte black.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The selling dealer charges a $125 documentation fee in addition to the price of the vehicle. They will include ownership history, restoration photos, the original owner’s manual and warranty card, an original program from the 1969 Indianapolis 500, pictures of the original delivery documents, a model car, and a Camaro hat with the purchase of the car.
