OVERVIEW

This restored 1969 Pontiac GTO is powered by a period-correct 400ci V8 backed by a TH-200-4R three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, a custom interior and a matching trunk, a digital AM/FM/CD stereo, bucket seats, and tinted windows. Finished in black over a black vinyl and grey tweed interior, this GTO is available now and comes from the selling dealer with Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior was refinished in black during the restoration completed in 2009. Features include a color-keyed Endura front bumper, hide-away headlights, hood scoops, sport mirror caps, tinted glass, a rear spoiler, and a color-matched steel rear bumper. A full walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch Center Line five-spoke aluminum wheels with Pontiac center caps is wrapped in 215/60/R15 front and 255/60/R15 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The selling dealer states that the custom interior was completed 5-6 years ago. The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in gray tweed with black vinyl accents; the trunk has been trimmed to match. Features include custom sculpted door panels, rear panels, and a coordinating headliner. Additional features include LED ambient lighting, manual windows, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, a center console with an automatic transmission shifter, a digital AM/FM/CD stereo with a trunk-mounted subwoofer, and a three-spoke steering wheel with a black grip.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 140-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and readouts for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 7,996 miles, reflecting what the selling dealer believes to be the mileage accrued since the restoration was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a period-correct 400ci V8 and backed by a TH-200-4R three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include Mickey Thompson finned valve covers, an aluminum intake, and a finned aluminum air cleaner.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This GTO is equipped with an independent front suspension and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip rear differential. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
