OVERVIEW
This 1970 Plymouth GTX was restored in the late 1990s and is powered by a 1973 440ci V8 backed by an A-727 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include Wilwood power disc brakes, power steering, a Hurst shifter, an Air Grabber hood scoop, and bucket seats. Finished in In-Violet over a black vinyl interior, this GTX is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear North Carolina title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration process, the exterior was refinished in In-Violet. Features include chrome bumpers, hood pins, a matte black hood stripe, an Air Grabber scoop, wheel opening moldings, dual mirrors with a driver-side manual remote, and a rear black-out panel. The selling dealer states the paint shows age-related imperfections.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of slotted U.S. Mags wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The selling dealer states that the tires have a large amount of remaining tread and 2017 date codes.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl with white piping. Features include power steering, power brakes, manual windows, simulated woodgrain accents, an AM radio, and a floor-mounted Hurst Pro-Matic automatic shifter. The selling dealer states that this vehicle does not have rear seat belts.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 150-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. An iEquus 8K-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column and a set of three Summit Racing Equipment gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amps is positioned under the dashboard. The odometer reads 4,216 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 1973 440ci V8 and backed by an A-727 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include black cast aluminum valve covers, an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, a black open-element air cleaner, and an aluminum radiator. The selling dealer states that the fender tag is not present. A video of the engine running can be seen below.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This St. Louis-built GTX was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by power Wilwood discs.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The selling dealer charges a $250 documentation fee in addition to the sale price of the car.
