OVERVIEW
This 1955 GMC six-window flatbed truck is based on a later-model GMC TopKick chassis and drivetrain. It is powered by a Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 backed by an Allison five-speed automatic transmission. Features include an aftermarket climate control system, power steering and brakes, a B&W gooseneck turn-over hitch, an electric brake controller, and 22-inch aluminum wheels. Finished in a brown patina over a two-tone brown and white fabric interior with cowhide-style accents, this customized GMC comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior wears a rusty patina finish and features a white front bumper, grille, and headlights. Additional features include a four-piece folding hood, a polished aluminum windshield visor, amber roof clearance lights, an air horn, folding mirrors, a flatbed with side rails and a B&W gooseneck turn-over hitch, dual fuel tanks, a tubular headache rack, and dual smokestack-style exhaust pipes.

A set of polished aluminum 22-inch wheels is wrapped in radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The captain’s chairs are upholstered in two-tone brown and white fabric with cowhide-style accents. Features include power steering, power brakes, manual windows, a center console with a storage compartment and cup holders, a floor-mounted shifter, and cowhide-style under-dash trim that matches the headliner.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
An 85-mph speedometer, a 5K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature from a GMC TopKick have been installed in the dashboard. The digital odometer reads 192,000 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be the true mileage on the chassis and drivetrain.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 and backed by an Allison five-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This GMC body has been fitted to a later-model GMC TopKick chassis that the selling dealer believes to be from a 2005 model. The suspension consists of a leaf spring-mounted solid front axle and a leaf spring-mounted solid rear drive axle. An onboard air system with an electric air pump and storage tank has been fitted to the chassis. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs.
