Vehicle Story

This 1966 Toyota FJ45 is powered by a 3.9-liter inline-6 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.  The vehicle is finished in red over a black interior and was previously imported from Spain, according to the selling dealer.  Equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, split-bench seating, and long-wheelbase cargo area.  Located in Glendale, California, this FJ45 is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean California title.

The body is finished in red and has received a full cosmetic restoration, complete with white accents for the grille and side-view mirrors, along with contrasting black front & rear bumpers.  The seller indicates some minor paint chips and scratches present, but the body is free of rust.  Chrome emblems are fitted to either side of the hood, and there is a tubular framework over the one-piece rear window that doubles as a tie-down area.

Factory white-painted steel 15” wheels with red center hubs are mounted to all-terrain tires.

The interior is fitted with a black vinyl diamond-plate floor covering and black vinyl split-bench seating, reupholstered as part of the restoration.  The metal dashboard is painted in red to match the exterior, and a 3-spoke steering wheel is equipped.  Windows are manual-crank operation, and the handles are fitted to black door panels.

Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer within a white surround and accompanying gauges for fuel level and voltage.  Additional aftermarket gauges are mounted below the dash.  The 5-digit odometer reads 28k kilometers; the True mileage on the vehicle is unknown.

The 3.9-liter F135 inline-6 was factory-rated at 105 hp and 189 lb-ft of torque when new.  Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with a two-speed transfer case.
