Single-Family-Owned 1984 Datsun 300ZX 5-Speed

This 1984 Datsun 300ZX is finished in Dark Pewter Metallic over a tan leather interior and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-6 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.  This is an original and unmodified example that has been single-family owned from new, with just over 61k original miles on the odometer.  Equipment includes removable glass T-tops, air conditioning, cruise control, and digital instruments.  Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this 300ZX is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Michigan title. 

The car retains its original Dark Pewter Metallic paint from new, and the seller indicates that there are some nicks and scratches in the paint and additional wear on portions of the outer door handles. Glass removable T-tops panels are equipped and seal well with no known leaking issues.  All black trim and including the bumpers and side moldings, are in good condition with no signs of oxidation and only light scratches on the front bumper. Additional equipment includes pop-up headlamps, color-keyed side mirrors, and a lift-back hatch with a wiper 

Factory 15” machined aluminum wheels are mounted to 215/60 Hankook Optimo tires on all four corners. Power steering and brakes are equipped

The interior is fitted with tan leather bucket seats and brown carpeting.  It retains the original AM/FM/cassette stereo with graphic equalizer and the signature digital gauge cluster.  Additional features include digital automatic climate control and dual powered side-view mirrors with console-mounted controls. The rear hatch is protected by the original factory carpeting and houses the tools and jack underneath.

Instrumentation includes a digital gauge cluster along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, as well as additional readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.  The vehicle also has gauges within the center dash, including an accelerometer and a compass.  The 6-digit analog odometer reads 61k miles, which are original to the vehicle.

The 3.0-liter VG30E V6 engine is original to the vehicle and unmodified. Per the CARFAX report, it was serviced at 52k miles, which included an oil and filter change, replacement of the air filter, and new spark plugs, distributor cap, and spark plug wires. In November 2020, the battery was replaced, and the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a console-mounted shifter.

The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record.  Vehicle history through 2016 is limited, but the vehicle has resided in Michigan since that time.  The sale includes an owner’s manual, factory spare tire, and associated jack equipment, as well as covers for the T-tops.
