OVERVIEW
This 1974 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am offers a reportedly numbers-matching drivetrain consisting of a 400ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a shaker hood, Rally II wheels with BFGoodrich tires, power steering, power front disc brakes, and air conditioning. Finished in Buccaneer Red over a black vinyl interior, this second-generation Firebird comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Buccaneer Red exterior features black wraparound bumper trim, a shaker hood, a Firebird hood decal, fender flares, color-keyed mirror caps, slotted taillights, a dual exhaust system, Trans Am trunk lid decals, and a rear spoiler.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
The 15-inch Rally II wheels have polished trim rings and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cockpit is fitted with black vinyl high-back bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, padded dash, center console, and carpeting. The face of the dash is accented with engine-turned aluminum. Amenities include a Delco AM/FM/8-track audio system, a tilt steering column, factory air conditioning, and a vinyl trunk mat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges that show the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 19,766 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The reportedly numbers-matching 400ci V8 is fed via a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 225 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a reportedly numbers-matching four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Steering is power-assisted. Stopping is performed by power-assisted disc brakes up front and drums in the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The selling dealer has provided a video with a description, a start-up, and a vehicle walk-around. A $145 dealer fee/tax will be added to the purchase price. The selling dealer will collect additional registration/sales tax from in-state buyers.
