350-POWERED 1980 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER SCOUT II

OVERVIEW

This frame-off-restored 1980 International Harvester Scout II is powered by a fuel-injected 350ci Chevrolet V8 crate engine backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and a rebuilt twin-stick, dual-range transfer case. Features include power four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, bucket seats, a Kenwood AM/FM stereo, a bikini top, 33-inch Goodyear tires, an electric winch, and an alarm. Finished in matte gray over a black vinyl interior, this Scout II comes from the selling dealer with two sets of keys with alarm key fobs and a clear Nevada title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration six years ago, the exterior was finished in matte gray. Features include black tube bumpers, an electric winch with a remote, a black grille, black wheel flares, SSII door inserts, dual mirrors, a six-point roll cage, a bikini top, and a rear-mounted spare tire.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black 15-inch Mickey Thompson wheels with Warn manual locking front hubs is wrapped in 33” x 12.50” R15LT Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front seats and the folding rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power steering and brakes; a spray-in bed liner; floor-mounted automatic transmission and transfer case twin-stick shifters; an AM/FM/Bluetooth Kenwood stereo system with four speakers, two subwoofers, and two amplifiers; and a locking center console with a hidden Kenwood control tuner.  

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The set of ISSPRO gauges mounted in a custom aluminum panel ahead of the driver includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the water temperature, voltage, oil pressure, transmission temperature, and fuel level. The odometer reads 7,922 miles, reflecting the mileage accrued since the restoration was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 crate engine paired with Holley Sniper fuel injection, a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, and a rebuilt twin-stick, dual-range transfer case. Output is reportedly 400 horsepower. Engine bay features include black valve covers, tube exhaust headers, an aluminum intake manifold, a black air cleaner, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, an HEI ignition, and dual batteries.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Scout is equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
