Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is powered by a rebuilt 396ci V8 engine backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, a tilt steering column, Cowl Induction hood, bucket seats and AM/FM stereo. Finished in Cranberry Red with Parchment vinyl interior, this rust-free 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Chevelle was built on the third week of February 1970 at the Atlanta assembly plant. The exterior was originally finished in Black Cherry (code 78) and has been refinished in Cranberry Red over original sheet metal. Features include chrome bumpers, SS emblems, Cowl Induction hood, hood pins, white racing stripes, dual rear-view mirrors, wheel moldings and black rear bumper pad with SS identification. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of Rally wheels, finished in silver and black with chrome center caps and stainless-steel trim rings, is wrapped in 245/60/14 BFGoodrich radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally upholstered in Ivory (code 791), the front bucket seats, rear bench, trim and door panels have been reupholstered in Parchment vinyl. Features include power steering and brakes, manual windows, working factory air conditioning, tilt steering column, AM/FM stereo, center console with automatic shifter, and black two-spoke steering wheel with SS emblem.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature and amps are located ahead of the driver. An additional set of gauges for the coolant temperature and oil pressure are located under the dashboard. The odometer reads 28,630 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a rebuilt 396ci V8 engine backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. All underhood components have been maintained to factory specifications aside of the addition of an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevelle is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid 12-bolt rear axle with sway bar and boxed control arms. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
