Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss is a frame-off restoration powered by a Boss 302ci V8 engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, a Traction-Lok differential, a folding Sport Deck rear seat, rear window louvers, a rear spoiler, a new RetroSound AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, bucket seats, a center console, and a shaker hood. Finished in Bright Yellow with black stripes over a black vinyl interior, this Mustang Boss comes from the selling dealer with a Deluxe Marti Report and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the four-year restoration, the exterior was finished in the original color of Bright Yellow (code D) with black accent stripes. Features include a front chin spoiler, chrome bumpers, a black grille, a shaker hood, color-keyed sport mirror housings with a driver-side remote, rear window louvers, a black rear spoiler, and a black taillight panel. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch reproduction Scott Drake Magnum 500 wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats, folding Sport Deck rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power steering and brakes, manual windows, a center console with a storage compartment, a Hurst shifter, and a RetroSound AM/FM radio with Bluetooth.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 88,935 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a Boss-correct 302ci V8 engine and backed by a rebuilt RUG-AW Top Loader close-ratio four-speed manual transmission with a new clutch assembly. Features include a new Borgeson power steering system, 10.5:1 compression, a high-nickel-content block with four-bolt mains and solid lifters, performance heads with canted valves, ribbed aluminum Boss valve covers, and functional cold air induction.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Boss Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with a 3.91:1 Traction-Lok differential. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
