OVERVIEW
This 1965 Chevrolet C10 was converted from a stepside into a fleetside short-bed truck and put through a reportedly $115,000+ frame-off restoration and series of updates. It is powered by an upgraded, rebuilt 350ci V8 engine backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Features include power front disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, buckets seats, a digital AM/FM stereo, new BFGoodrich tires, a wood bed floor, and a relocated fuel tank. Finished in Pine Forest Green with a Pearl White top over a tan leather interior, this garage-kept C10 comes with receipts, invoices, restoration documentation, an uninstalled emergency brake part, the removed original bench seat, headrests, and a clear Louisiana title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the frame-off restoration completed in 2017 by Road Hog LLC of Houma, Louisiana, the exterior was finished in Pine Forest Green and Pearl White. According to the seller, there is no rust anywhere on the vehicle. Features include new chrome bumpers, a new chrome grille, dual rearview mirrors, new glass, a shaved cab fuel filler, side trim with white inserts, a fleetside short bed with a wood floor, and an LED taillight strip. New headlights, parking lights, taillights, and backup lights have been installed.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch Pine Forest Green 1980s-era General Motors truck Rally wheels is wrapped in new 215/75 BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather. Features include the tilt steering column and the steering wheel from a Chevrolet Chevelle, a power driver’s seat, power brakes and steering, manual windows, an AM/FM stereo, air conditioning, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, new kick panel speakers, new rear speakers, and Pine Forest Green, Pearl White, and Fawn metal surfaces.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, gauges for the fuel level and oil pressure, an aftermarket 8K-rpm tachometer, and aftermarket readouts for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The odometer reads 179,219 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. One of the videos below shows the gauges in more detail.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an upgraded 350ci V8 engine that has been rebuilt with new parts, bored .030 over, and paired with a 700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive transmission with a lock-up torque converter. According to the seller, the engine and the truck have accrued approximately 460 miles since the rebuild was completed. Engine bay features include new chrome Chevrolet-logo valve covers, a new HEI electronic distributor, cast iron exhaust manifolds, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The new four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and chrome air cleaner are all Edelbrock components.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This C10 is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with a 3.43:1 gear ratio. New front and rear shocks, new rear coil springs, new front and rear torsion bars, and a new steering stabilizer have been installed. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A MagnaFlow dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states that the emergency brake does not work.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The second video below shows tours of the vehicle's exterior, interior, and engine bay. The seller will include receipts, invoices, restoration documentation, an uninstalled emergency brake part, the removed original bench seat, and headrests as part of the sale.
