This 1971 Buick GSX Re-Creation is finished in Saturn Yellow with black stripes over a black vinyl interior and is powered by a 455 ci V8 paired with a 3-speed TH400 automatic transmission. Equipment includes power brakes, a dual exhaust system, reupholstered seats, and upgraded ignition components. Located in Annandale, Minnesota, this GSX is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean Minnesota title.
The car is finished in new Saturn Yellow paint with black striping running down the sides, decklid, spoiler, and hood. It was professionally refinished and is equipped with a functional hood scoop, GSX decklid spoiler, and GSX badging on the grille and fenders. Additional features include a black plastic front valance, color-keyed mirrors, and a dual exhaust with polished tips.
Aftermarket 15” chrome Keystone-styled wheels are wrapped in General tires on all four corners. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted drum brakes all around.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered black vinyl bench seats with matching black carpeting. Tan rubber floor mats protect the carpeting, and the door panels and headliner and trimmed in matching black. The dash is trimmed in faux woodgrain and houses an aftermarket stereo and heater controls.
Instrumentation is framed within a yellow bezel and includes a 120-mph speedometer, along with an 8k rpm tachometer, analog clock, and fuel gauge, and various warning lights. Additional aftermarket gauges mounted beneath the dashboard providing readouts for oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The instrument cluster has a 5-digit odometer, though true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.
Power is provided by a 455ci V8 with Stage 2 Buick upgrades, an aluminum intake manifold, and an MSD ignition system. The engine bay was cosmetically restored with the firewall and inner fenders in matte black, while the block, heads, and valve covers are finished in orange. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed TH400 automatic transmission.
