Vehicle Story

This 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS is finished in red over an ivory vinyl interior and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a turbo 350 automatic transmission.  Equipment includes disc brakes, power steering, American Racing wheels, a tachometer with shift light, and performance engine upgrades.  Located in Annandale, Minnesota, this Nova SS is now offered by the selling dealer on a clear Minnesota title.

The car is finished in metallic red and retains its original sheet metal.  The paint has been professionally redone under prior ownership, and the car has chrome and brightwork that is free of pitting or corrosion.  SuperSport emblems are located in the center grille as well as the rear full-width black taillight panel, and 350 logos aligned with the marker lamps on each front fender.

Aftermarket 15" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels are mounted to BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires measuring 215/65 on all four corners.  Stopping power is provided by power disc brakes with red calipers in the front and drums in the rear.

The Sandalwood tan interior is fitted with vinyl bench seats both front and rear equipped with black lap belts.  Tan carpeting covers the floor while the interior panels and dash match the seats. The car was optioned with an NK4 4-spoke sport steering wheel in black, complete with an SS emblem in the center.  A B&M performance ratchet shift lever is mounted on the transmission tunnel for the automatic transmission.  The trunk of the car is fitted with a mat, and the factory spare tire is included.

Instrumentation includes a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and a column-mounted 10k-rpm tachometer with shift light, along with accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage.  There are two additional aftermarket gauges mounted below the dash.  The cluster has a 5-digit odometer, though true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.

The 350ci V8 has been bored to .30 over and is equipped with an Edelbrock air cleaner, finned valve covers, and an aluminum radiator.  The engine bay itself has been finished in a factory correct matte black while a chrome upper radiator bracket and fan shroud were installed.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shift lever and a 3500-stall torque converter.
