OVERVIEW
This recently restored 1968 Chevrolet El Camino reportedly received over $45,000 in parts and paintwork and more than 3,000 hours of restoration work. Power is provided by a new NAPA 350cid V8 crate engine and backed by a remanufactured 700R4 four-speed transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, a newly restored air conditioning system with an R-134a conversion, new Rally wheels, and new tires. Finished in Torch Red over a black vinyl interior, this El Camino comes with an engine warranty in effect through September 2024 and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration completed in April 2023, the exterior was finished in two-stage Torch Red. Features include chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, a Super Sport hood, rocker trim, and a black bed floor.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of new 15" x 8" front and 15" x 10" rear Chevrolet Rally wheels is wrapped in new radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The new interior is furnished with a black vinyl bench seat and equipped with R-134a air conditioning, power steering, manual windows, a column-mounted automatic shifter, and a three-spoke steering wheel with a black rim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
According to the seller, the odometer reads 38 miles, which reflects the mileage accrued since the restoration was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a new NAPA 350cid V8 crate engine with four-bolt mains and is backed by a remanufactured 700R4 four-speed transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a chrome air cleaner, Hooker headers, and an aluminum radiator.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This El Camino is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with a 10-bolt Positraction differential. Stopping is performed by power brakes with new components. A dual exhaust system with turn-downs exits at the rear.

An engine warranty with coverage through September 2024 will come with the vehicle.
It looks like it’s in very nice shape, but was it painted in a sand storm? A close look at the glove box indicates that it was.
