350-Powered 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible 5-Speed

OVERVIEW

This rust-free 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is powered by a newer BluePrint Engines 350ci V8 backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. Features include power disc brakes, power steering, a RetroSound Wonderbar AM/FM radio, a tilt steering column, and newer gauges. This black Bel Air convertible with a white convertible top and red and white vinyl interior is available now and comes with owner’s manuals, repair manuals, receipts, uninstalled fender skirts, a dealer brochure, and a clear Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior has been refinished in black and features a white convertible top. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, dual headlights with tri-bar lenses, a chrome grille, chrome mirror caps, accessory fender and rocker trim, and dual taillights with reverse lights. The seller will include uninstalled body-color fender skirts with the sale.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black Cragar Series 342 steel wheels with chrome center caps and stainless trims rings is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered with red and white vinyl. Features include red carpet with matching floor mats, manual windows, a floor-mounted manual shifter, a tilt steering column, and a white convertible top boot. Additional features include a red steel dashboard and Bluetooth-compatible RetroSound Wonderbar AM/FM radio.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

The new Dakota Digital VHX analog gauge cluster includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. A digital odometer and clock are also included. The digital odometer reads 2,367 miles, which is the mileage on the new engine, according to the seller. The true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.  

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a BluePrint 350ci V8 crate engine that was installed new in 2020 and connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include a chrome power brake booster and master cylinder set, power steering, a chrome alternator, an aluminum radiator, chrome hose covers, chrome valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner housing. The seller states that an oil change was recently completed and a new carburetor was installed in April of this year.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevy is factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by 4-wheel power discs. A full-length dual exhaust exits at the rear under the bumper. Additional undercarriage photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.
