OVERVIEW
This 1983 Ford Mustang GLX convertible is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission and has covered 58,512 miles since new. A set of 14-inch steel wheels with simulated wire hub caps is wrapped in 205/70R14 Sailun Atrezzo radial tires that were installed in December of 2022.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in the reportedly original red leather. Power features include the steering, windows, and locks. Additional features include a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a tilt steering column, air conditioning, cruise control, woodgrain accents, red carpeting and trim, and an Audiovox AM/FM/cassette stereo.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 85-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amps are located ahead of the driver. With 5,000 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 58,512 miles, which aligns with the mileage logged in the CARFAX report in May 2023.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 3.8-liter V6 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that a new fuel filter, fuel pump, and carburetor were installed in December 2022. The engine is also equipped with a newer radiator and air conditioning compressor.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.
