This 1967 Plymouth Barracuda notchback was purchased by the seller over 50 years ago and is powered by its original 273ci V8 paired with a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The body is finished in Medium Copper Metallic over a matching copper interior. Equipment includes upgraded Rallye wheels, front & rear sway bars, and a dual exhaust system. Located in Melbourne, Florida, this Barracuda is now offered on a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The vehicle is finished in its factory original shade of Medium Copper Metallic, which was repainted in the 1990s. The chrome bumpers, side view mirrors, and other trim accents are in good condition, and the car has a chrome fuel filler cap on the left rear quarter. A full-width stainless trim panel with a Barracuda script runs across the trunk, and back-up lamps are located below the rear bumper. The seller indicates that the paint shows minor bubbles on one of the rear quarters.
Upgraded 14” steel Rallye wheels with trim rings are mounted to BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires on all four corners. The sale also includes the original wheels and wheel covers. Performance sway bars have been added on the front and rear for improved handling.
The interior is fitted with brown carpeting and copper vinyl bench seating, and a color-matched metal dash with a brown dash pad. The seat covers, carpet, and headliner were all replaced in 2014, along with a new dash and NOS gauges. A factory heater and five-button in-dash AM/FM radio are equipped.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a vacuum gauge, along with an additional cluster that houses gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 5-digit odometer currently reads over 18k miles, though true mileage is unknown.
The 273ci V8 is original to the vehicle and was rebuilt 60k miles ago, equipped with a factory-correct 2 barrel carburetor. An electronic ignition system was added for improved driveability; the drivetrain remains unmodified from stock otherwise. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission with a column-mounted shift lever.
Additional underside photos are available in the gallery.
The sale includes service records from throughout the seller’s ownership, as well as the car’s original wheels with covers.

Absolutely I can keep the car until it’s convenient for you to pick it up.
Assuming I were to win the bid: I live in upstate New York (Lake George---Adirondacks) and would like to pick the car up myself. I currently am scheduled for my first Covid vaccination tomorrow and my second 3 to 4 weeks later. Is it possible for you to hold onto the car until then. Thanks and stay safe. I actually have relatives from both my adopted and actual family sides living in Melbourne. Thanks and stay safe
BID: $16,500
Thank you for your interesting story. Who knows my car’s next chapter of existence!
I live in Melbourne as well. If you give me your address I would like to see the car before the auction ends. I would love to buy it!!
BID: $15,900
I love this car. I have been looking for one similar to this for years. I owned a 1968 version and it to this day is the best car I have ever owned. It had the slant 6--- 225 engine : which is extremely difficult to find. This would be my second choice; same interior, automatic, notchback----Please do not let this car go cheaply. I am currently not in a position to purchase but will be in a couple of months once our businesses have reopened and we enter our seasonal business. I still may enter a bid but am quite certain it will go much higher in the next few days. Good luck and I pray you are in a position that affords this car to get its just deserve.
What’s the reserve target?

The car was completely stripped to bare metal and any and all bad places were repaired with metal. Any filler was used to feather and NOT fill. The paint was computer matched from an inside door panel.

If the car doesn’t sell at auction we should be able for you to drive it.
