OVERVIEW

This restored 1956 Ford Mainline Tudor Business Sedan is powered by a 351cid V8 that reportedly generates 525 horsepower and delivers it to the road through a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission equipped with a floor-mounted Hurst shifter. Features include power windows, bucket seats, front disc brakes, an updated dual-circuit master cylinder, new suspension components and bushings, a Currie nine-inch Ford axle, a new Ron Francis wiring system, and Cragar wheels. Finished in Diamond Blue and white over a gray vinyl interior, this Ford comes with records, receipts, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the exterior was finished in the original color of Diamond Blue (code D) and white. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille and parking light bezels, a hood ornament, side trim, and a rear-mounted fuel filler. The selling dealer states that all brightwork was either replated or polished.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch Cragar wheels is wrapped in 215/70 front and 235/70 rear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES 

The updated bucket seats are upholstered in gray vinyl. Features include power windows, manual steering, a new Ron Francis wiring system, a floor-mounted Hurst automatic transmission shifter, a three-spoke steering wheel with a black grip, and radio and heater deletes. The trunk is upholstered with matching carpeting and holds the relocated battery.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The AutoMeter instrumentation located ahead of the driver includes a speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The odometer reads 8,312 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a reportedly 525-horsepower 351cid V8 and backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include black aluminum Ford Racing valve covers with red accents, an Isky Racing Cams camshaft with roller rockers, Ford Racing spark plug wires, an electronic ignition system, an Edelbrock 750-cfm four-barrel carburetor, a March Performance engine accessory pulley system, tubular headers, and a black air cleaner.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Ford was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by updated manual front discs, rear drums, and a dual-circuit master cylinder. The exhaust flows through headers and 2.5-inch dual rear outlets. The seller states that all suspension components and bushings have been replaced. A heavy-duty front sway bar, a Currie nine-inch Ford rear axle, and Traction-Master traction bars have been installed.
