This 1978 Mercedes-Benz 240D has served as the seller's daily driver for the past month and shows approximately 173k miles. Power is provided by a 2.4L 4-cylinder diesel mated to a 4-speed manual with a new clutch. The car is finished in Sun Yellow over Palomino and has been fitted with new tires, alternator, and battery. The W123 is offered from Mesa, Arizona, with an owner's manual, factory literature, and a clean Arizona title in the seller's name.
The exterior is finished in Sun Yellow, and the car has never been in an accident, per the seller. Chrome accents include the bumpers, grille, headlight surroundings, badges, and the windows tinted with aftermarket material. All black plastic accents, including the cowl vents and bumpers, is in good condition with no indications of cracking or sun fading.
14" factory wheels are equipped with hubcaps finished matching the body and wrapped in brand new 185/70 Champiro VP1 Radial GT tires. Cracking is noted in the paint both above and below the driver-side headlights, and a piece of black trim is missing from the passenger-side front bumper. Slight chipping can be seen around the upper hood, near the cowl on the passenger side; photos are available in the gallery.
The interior is trimmed in MB-Tex Palomino with darker carpets, door panels, headliner, and a black dash with wood grain accents. Photos show cracking and wearing on the driver side seat pan, wear on the armrest, loose-fitting trim on the inner window frames, and stains on the trunk floor mat. The car is equipped with a factory-style Becker AM/FM radio with five presets and speakers mounted in the rear package tray.
Amenities include functional air conditioning and heat, as well manual roll-down windows. The seller states that the odometer shows approximately 173k miles, which is believed to be accurate.
Power is derived from a Daimler-Benz OM616 4-cylinder diesel that is paired with 4-speed manual transmission. Recent replacement items include the alternator, battery, and clutch. The seller states the car does not currently have any leaks.
An owner's manual and other pertinent literature are included in the sale
