OVERVIEW
This one-owner 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300CE pillarless coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. It has resided in Arkansas since new and received over $5,000 in engine and suspension updates in 2011. Equipment includes automatic climate control, a Becker radio, woodgrain interior trim, and Continental tires. Finished in Anthracite Gray and beige over a tan MB-Tex vinyl interior, this C124 300CE is now offered by the selling dealer with service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-tone Anthracite Gray and beige exterior features the reportedly original paint, fog lamps, headlight wipers, a hood ornament, a mono-blade windshield wiper, a pillarless roofline, accent pinstriping, and a power sunroof. The seller notes minor paint discoloration on the left side of the roof, which can be seen in the gallery to the right.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
The 15-inch Gullideckel alloy wheels are wrapped in 195/65R15 Continental tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The 2+2 interior is fitted with tan MB-Tex vinyl bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching materials for the door panels, center console, lower dash, carpeting, and embroidered floor mats. Amenities include woodgrain trim, automatic climate control, a Becker Grand Prix radio, power windows, cruise control, and illuminated vanity mirrors.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
VDO-branded instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 98,750 miles, but the seller states the odometer is not functional. The last mileage figure logged in the CARFAX report in October 2011 was 90,840 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The M103 3.0-liter inline-six was rated at 177 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller notes that $5,000 in engine and suspension updates were carried out in 2011. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Handling is provided by a four-wheel independent suspension. Stopping power comes from power four-wheel disc brakes.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This Mercedes-Benz was previously sold on AutoHunter, but through no fault of the seller, it is being relisted after the overseas buyer backed out of the transaction because of the shipping costs. The CARFAX report starts in September 1989 and shows no history of accidents or damage. The seller has provided a walk-around video below that shows a start-up, a 360-degree tour, and a demonstration of the electronics. Service records will come with the purchase of the car.

@BKAlumMIT – I see, photo 56 has the engine running, gauges active but it looks like that light is on. ...
Yes SRS light has been coming on every once in a while but that's the supplemental restraint and that's usually short in the passenger seat. Will get that fixed
