OVERVIEW
This 1973 Ford Mustang has 19,321 original miles and has been with the current owner for 24 years. It is equipped with its reportedly original 302cid V8 and three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, bucket seats, a center console, and air conditioning. Finished in Bright Red and equipped with a white vinyl top over a white vinyl interior, this Mustang comes on consignment from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
In the late 1990s, the exterior was refinished in the original color of Bright Red (code 2B). Features include a color-keyed urethane front bumper, a black grille insert, side impact moldings, wheel well and rocker moldings, color-keyed sport mirror housings with a manual driver-side remote, a white vinyl top, a chrome rear bumper, and a black taillight panel insert. The selling dealer states that the backup lights need work. A walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 14-inch red steel wheels with dog dish center caps and trim rings is wrapped in P205/70R14 Dunlop SP60 whitewall radial tires that were installed in 2007.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in white vinyl. Features include power steering, manual windows, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, air conditioning, white door panels and trim, and a black dashboard. The selling dealer states that the Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo was purchased new in 2010 and installing it did not require modifications to the dashboard. They add that the stereo's current low volume may be related to a loose speaker wire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for the oil pressure, temperature, brakes, and alternator are located ahead of the driver. With 9,000 miles added over the past 24 years of ownership, the odometer reads 19,321 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 302cid V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission, both of which are original, according to the selling dealer.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A single exhaust outlet exits at the rear. The selling dealer notes that surface rust is present on the undercarriage.

I am primarily a Mopar and GM kind of person. I have considered some T Bird and Mark IV / V over the years. I am inquiring from you expert Ford folks if the last of the body we see here is increasing in value / desire. I don't dislike the Mustang II from 1974 on but it is just different from what we see here. Thanks. Good luck with the auction conclusion. If some of the non functioning things were working, I might consider jumping in on this one since it has AC which is a necessity here in Southern FL.
