OVERVIEW
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is a Pro-Touring-style frame-off restomod powered by a 496ci big-block V8 equipped with FiTech fuel injection and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include power UniSteer Performance rack-and-pinion steering, bucket seats, a Fusion AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, Vintage Air climate controls, The Right Stuff power disc brakes, and Ridetech suspension components. Finished in Vapor Silver with black stripes over a black vinyl interior, this Chevelle is available now and comes with documentation of work performed, dynamometer test results, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is finished in Vapor Silver with black stripes and features chrome bumpers, SS emblems, a cowl-induction hood, color-keyed sport mirror caps, wheel well trim, and a rear bumper pad with an SS emblem.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 18-inch Rocket Racing Attack wheels is wrapped in Nitto low-profile radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin has been lined with insulation and sound-damping material. It comes furnished with black vinyl Rally bucket front seats and a matching rear seat, trim, and door panels. Features include a black center console with a locking storage compartment and a horseshoe shifter, manual windows, power steering and brakes, Vintage Air climate controls, a Fusion AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, an Illusion Audio amplifier and speakers, a tilt steering column, and a three-spoke billet steering wheel. The seller states that all electrical systems have been upgraded. The trunk is lined with carpeted panels.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The set of Classic Instruments gauges includes a 200-mph speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The odometer shows 150 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 454-based 496ci big-block stroker V8 paired with a FiTech Go EFI fuel-injection system and a reportedly customized 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include Edelbrock Performer RPM O-Port high-compression cylinder heads, black valve covers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a black air cleaner, long tube Hooker headers, a polished air conditioning compressor, a March Performance serpentine belt engine accessory system, a Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and billet aluminum hood hinges.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Chevelle was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Suspension upgrades include Ridetech components, power UniSteer Performance rack-and-pinion steering, and a 12-bolt rear end with an Eaton Detroit Locker, 3.73:1 gears, and a Moser Engineering differential cover. Braking is provided by The Right Stuff power discs. A full-length Flowmaster dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This Chevelle previously appeared on AutoHunter in March 2023. It is now being relisted at a lower reserve price than before. The seller will include documentation of work performed and dynamometer test results as part of the sale.
