This 1974 MGB roadster was purchased new by the seller’s father and acquired by the seller last year. Power is supplied by a 1.8-liter inline-4 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in green over a black vinyl interior with a black vinyl top, and recent maintenance includes a new clutch and brake master cylinder. This MGB is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in blue, the seller had the car repainted in Forest Green in 1994, at which time the interior was refurbished as well. Chrome bumpers with rubber overriders are fitted at the front and rear of the car. The seller states there are no visible dings on the car but notes small scratches in the paint.
Steel R-O style wheels with MG center caps are mounted with black wall tires at all four corners.
The interior was refinished in 1994 and is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and door panels. Additional features include an aftermarket Clarion cassette head unit, the seller states it does not currently work..
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 7k-rpm tachometer and a 120-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer reads 88k miles and is stated by the seller to be original.
The 1.8-liter inline-4 features twin SU carburetors and is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This MG has had regular maintenance performed throughout its life with recent service to include replacing the clutch and brake master cylinder.
The underside of the car is original and unrestored.

@Aclute – No other major modifications. Nothing else inoperable. Runs really well. I don't take her on major freeways as much but she handles really well. I wish I could keep her but I'm moving across the country, I work in healthcare and I won't have the time to dedicate to her. ...
Thanks for the quick response. One more thing, where has it lived during its life? Always CA?
@RicoSabu – A couple of questions. Other than the paint, radio, and upholstery, what else is not original? Other than the radio, is there anything broken or not operating properly or that needs attention. How does it drive, in general and on the highway? Why are you selling this family heirloom? ...
