OVERVIEW
This four-wheel-drive 1970 Ford F-250 dually has been with the current owner for 43 years and is powered by a 428cid Cobra Jet V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission, and a dual-range transfer case, all of which have been rebuilt. Features include Gear Vendors overdrive, power steering, power brakes, a grille guard, a Warn winch, a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo, a custom-fabricated work bed with a winch and a swinging boom, and dual saddle-style fuel tanks. Finished in light green and white over a green vinyl and cloth interior, this F-250 comes from the selling dealer with an engine build sheet, a spare tire, a shovel, an axe, a high-lift jack, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior has been refinished in light green with a white roof. Features include a white powder-coated grille, an aluminum front bumper with a grille guard and a Warn winch, black and white accent pinstriping, a cowl-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, a grey powder-coated custom-fabricated bed box with a winch and a swinging boom, and locking tool boxes. The seller states that the custom-fabricated saddle-style gas tanks need to be cleaned on the inside before they are used for fuel storage. A video of the current owner describing the history and modifications of the vehicle can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of gray 16-inch wheels with manual locking Warn front hubs is wrapped in 235/85R16 Toyo Hyparadial radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat has been reupholstered in green vinyl with green cloth seating areas. Features include manual windows, power steering, a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo, a three-spoke Lecarra steering wheel, a gun rack, and a cab-mounted fuel tank.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 35,808 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. An 8,000-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 428cid Cobra Jet V8 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. According to the selling dealer, all of those have been rebuilt. Features include Gear Vendors overdrive, aluminum heads and valve covers, an aluminum intake, a chrome air cleaner, aluminum wiring loom covers, a billet aluminum serpentine belt engine accessory drive system, an aluminum radiator, an MSD electronic ignition, an Edelbrock carburetor, dual electric fans, a chrome power steering pump and alternator, and tubular exhaust headers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This F-250 was factory-equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. According to the selling dealer, the frame has been reconditioned, new bushings have been put in, and Ford one-ton truck hardware has been installed. Stopping is performed by power brakes. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include an engine build sheet, a spare tire, a shovel, an axe, and a high-lift jack with the purchase of the truck.

In my original website description of the auxiliary gas tanks, it was mentioned that they both needed to be cleaned before being put in service. They are made from plate steel and powder coated on the outside. They were not sealed on the inside and there is scale that needs to be cleaned and sealed before using them as a source of fuel to the system.
