This 1999 Acura 2.3CL is finished in Milano Red over a tan leather interior and is powered by a 2.3-liter inline-4 paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car was originally sold at Cush Acura in San Diego, California, and resided in the San Diego area until being relocated to Arizona in 2020. Equipment includes accessory spoiler, AM/FM/CD head unit, and double-wishbone suspension. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, this 2.3CL is now offered at no reserve with a clean CARFAX report on a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car is painted Milano Red (R81) and is finished in its original paint except for the front and rear bumpers, which were previously refinished. The seller notes that the driver-side high beam is not connected. The car has a correct exhaust system with dual stainless-steel outlets. A set of used OEM fog lamps with factory switch are included but not installed. The car has an accessory spoiler with an integrated LED brake lamp at the rear.
Factory 16” machine-finish alloy wheels are mounted to Firestone Firehawk tires in 205/55 with 2018 date codes on all four corners. The car is equipped with 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, variable power-assist steering, and front and rear stabilizer bars. It has 4-wheel disc brakes and anti-lock braking.
The interior is fitted with tan carpeting and parchment leather bucket seats which the seller states are in excellent condition. The center console armrest has been reupholstered. The audio system is a 6-speaker AM/FM/CD, and the car has steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, automatic digital climate control, and a power tilt/slide moonroof. The driver seat is 6-way adjustable. The dash is trimmed in wood, the steering wheel is leather-wrapped, and the car has dual illuminated vanity mirrors. The trunk includes a cargo net and is equipped with a ski pass-through opening. The car has keyless entry and power door mirrors. The vehicle has been professionally tinted with 20% Suntek film.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and accompanying gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The 6-digit odometer reads 138k miles, which are original to the vehicle.
The 2.3-liter single-overhead-cam VTEC 4-cylinder engine is original to the car and was factory rated at 150 horsepower. Recent maintenance includes an oil and filter change and replacement of the timing belt, water pump, balance belt, coolant, cam seals, and ignition switch in November 2020 using factory parts where available. The valves were also adjusted at the same time. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transaxle.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The CARFAX report shows the car’s original sale in December 1999 in San Diego, followed by consistent registration renewals and emissions testing. The car was serviced at Kearny Mesa Acura in 2017 and had a recall on the airbag that was completed in 2020. The sale includes two key fobs with keys, the window sticker, a variety of literature items, the original bill of sale and purchase paperwork from 1999, a newspaper ad from the original sale, service records, three brochures, the original California license plate, a bottle of touch-up paint, the cargo net, and original owner’s manuals. The original MSRP shows a total vehicle price of $23,555, including destination and handling.

@tysonhugie – Thanks, to be honest this one required no clean-up. It was a truly well-kept original car, from one owner who I'm still in contact with via email. Hard to believe the condition, even crystal clear headlamps and nice leather. Joys of having resided in a nice San Diego climate and being garage-kept its whole life. ...

@epegoblue – It's hard to go wrong with Milano Red! This is my least favorite pre-2008 Acura, but WOW! That cleaned up well! The road to 200K miles should be reached with ease. GLWS. ...

@orrs2000 – 3 auctions at the same time Tyson?!?! Is there a bulk discount for winning all 3? ...
I know, this made it easier to deal with separation anxiety. Let them all go at the same time. Yes, if you win all 3 I'll throw in a test-drive of my 1992 NSX. :)
