OVERVIEW
This 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix is powered by a period-correct 428cid V8 backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, factory air conditioning, a restored dashboard and center console, a new blower motor, and bucket seats. Finished in Palladium Silver and equipped with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior, this Grand Prix comes with a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was refinished in the original color of Palladium Silver under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, wheel well and rocker trim, a driver-side mirror, a black vinyl top, and Model SJ badging.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver 15-inch Pontiac Rally II wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power steering, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a tilt steering column, factory air conditioning, and a RetroSound AM/FM/AUX radio that was installed in October 2022. New parts include the blower motor and HVAC controls. The dashboard and center console were restored by Just Dashes in 2022. According to the seller, the air conditioning was charged and working last year, but they have been unable to find a leak in the system.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 140-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 97,750 miles; the Actual Mileage title shows a figure of 97,644 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a non-original, period-correct 428cid V8 and backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports that an oil change was completed in June 2023.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Pontiac was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states that there are small holes in the passenger-side front floor pan and that new front springs have been installed.

It is a Factory SJ not just badging
Please advise if SJ is badging only or if this was a factory SJ. Thanks, Jeremy

I believe the motor was rebuilt before I purchased the car. The Dealer I purchased the car from stated the car was recently restored when they purchased the car at auction. I would guess that was aprox. 3-5yrs ago and probably when the car was painted. The car runs and drives great. I replaced the front coil springs earlier this year, the rest of the suspension is fine.
Just wanted to follow-up on my questions, Do you know if there was any Engine work done, or do you think it is all original? Suspension? Cooling? ] Any idea how old the repaint is?

What is the reserve
Can't answer the reserve question but if you use hagerty online valuation tools it's a solid driver quality car and inline with those values
I purchased the car from a dealer who bought the car at auction. When I purchased the car dealer stated the car was recently restored but didn't have any receipts. I have owned the car for 2 yrs and have all the receipts for repairs I've completed, dash and console were restored June 2022,replaced frt. springs 1/2023,blower motor 2023,many other misc. parts including HVAC control, Headlight switch, Printed circuit for dash, high speed blower motor resistor, temperature control cable, new kick pads, gas tank is new it was replaced before I purchased the car and more. I can get all receipts and post pics if needed, let me know. No engine or cooling system repairs since I purchased the car, none needed runs great. Ignition was converted to electronic before I bought the car.
No A/C is not currently blowing cold. In the vehicle story I mentioned there is a leak we were unable to diagnose with backyard equipment, needs to have a professional A/C repair.
