OVERVIEW
This restored 1970 Chevrolet Nova is powered by a rebuilt 454cid V8 backed by a rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, a cowl-induction hood, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo. Finished in red over a black vinyl interior, this Nova comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration completed in 2013, the exterior was finished in red. Features include chrome bumpers, a cowl-induction hood, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, rocker and wheel well trim, SS emblems, and a black tail light panel.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch American Racing chrome wheels is wrapped in 215/65/15 front and 235/70/15 rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, manual windows, power steering, a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo, and black trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. Three aftermarket gauges for the oil pressure, amps, and coolant temperature are under the dashboard. The odometer has rolled over and reads 48,730 miles, which means the true mileage on this vehicle is 148,730.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Originally fitted with a 396cid V8, this Nova is now powered by a 454cid V8 connected to a three-speed automatic transmission, both of which have logged 2,000 miles since being rebuilt. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a K&N air filter, and tube exhaust headers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Nova is factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
