This 1953 Ford Mainline Ranch Wagon was restored under previous ownership and recently won First Place at the George Barris Car Show in Culver City, California. The two-door wagon is finished in two-tone Seafoam and Timberline Green over tan vinyl and powered by a rebuilt "Mileage Marker" 215ci inline-6 paired with a 3-speed manual. Factory options include a heater and defroster, AM radio, and tan linoleum cargo floor. The car is also fitted with tinted glass, Firestone whitewall tires, and a chrome and wood roof rack. This Ford is offered by the selling dealer with a clear California title.
The detailed restoration was undertaken at Nick Alexander Restoration & Upholstery in Huntington Park, California, and the exterior is finished in a factory two-tone Seafoam and Timberline Green. The brightwork has been re-chromed and tinted glass added. A roof rack is equipped with a silver frame and wood slats.
The 15" steel wheels are finished to match the body and are fitted with chrome hubcaps, trim rings, and Firestone whitewall tires. A collection of National and State Park stickers adorn the right rear window. Braking is provided by manual drums all around.
Tan vinyl covers the front and rear bench seats, door cards, and headliner, while black rubber protects the passenger floors and factory spec tan linoleum lines the rear. Photos show the full-size whitewall spare housed in the recess below the cargo area.
Factory equipment includes a heater and defroster and AM radio, both of which were refreshed during the restoration. Additions include a stick-on compass and a "dancing" hula girl. The five-digit odometer shows 88,367 miles; true mileage is unknown.
The "Mileage Maker" 215ci overhead-valve inline-6 was rebuilt during the restoration and retains many of the factory components, including the oil-bath air cleaner. Restored to original specifications, the car retains the original 6-volt electrical system. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission.
Photos of the restored underside show a single exhaust, two sets of shock absorbers, leaf springs, and black paint on the frame and axles.

The 2 tone green is such a classic combo and looks amazing with the wood rack, just needs a couple surf boards on there! @wcc do you guys know if this is an original California car?
