OVERVIEW
This 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary convertible has been driven 44,250 miles since new and is powered by an LT1 5.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes edition-specific badging, chrome 17-inch wheels, a Jensen touchscreen audio system, and three-mode Ride Control. Finished in Ruby Red Metallic and equipped with a matching retractable cloth top over a Ruby Red leather interior, this C4 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with a CARFAX report and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Ruby Red Metallic (code 68) paint matches the manual retractable cloth top. Features include pop-up headlights, 40th Anniversary badging, vented fenders, and dual exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome five-spoke 17" x 8.5" front and 17" x 9.5" rear wheels with 40th Anniversary center caps are wrapped in staggered-width Goodyear tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-seat cockpit is fitted with Ruby Red leather sport bucket seats with 40th Anniversary embroidery, matched to the door panels, dash, center console, carpeting, and floor mats. Features include power windows, power door locks, a power driver seat, cruise control, power steering, a Jensen touchscreen audio system, and automatic climate control.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a digital speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 44,250 miles, which is the same as the most recent figure recorded on the CARFAX report when the car was sold at auction in June 2023.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The LT1 5.7-liter V8 features multi-port fuel injection and was rated at 300 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque when new. It reportedly received a recent oil change. In addition, the alternator was changed in 2018 and services in 2017 included the replacement of the serpentine belt, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping is performed by power-assisted ventilated anti-lock disc brakes. According to the CARFAX report, the front and rear brake rotors and pads were replaced within the last 5,000 miles. The suspension has Ride Control settings for touring, sport, and performance. Handling is assisted by a traction control system.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report begins in December 1992 and shows ownership in Pennsylvania and New York. An emissions inspection was performed in 2022. There are two damage reports on record, the first of which was logged in 2015 and pertains to the front, rear, and roof. The second was recorded in 2018 and notes damage to the rear. The dealer has posted the following disclaimer: Sales tax, title, and tags are not included in the vehicle price. A $2,000 deposit is required within 24 hours of winning the auction.
