OVERVIEW
This 1973 Mercury Cougar XR-7 has reportedly been owned by the same family since new. It is powered by the reportedly original H-code 351cid V8 backed by a C6 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, bucket seats, and an AM radio. Finished in Light Goldenrod and equipped with a tan vinyl top over a Medium Ginger leather and vinyl interior, this Cougar comes from the selling dealer with the original registration, dealer’s brochure, and owner’s manual as well as a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is finished in the original factory-applied color of Light Goldenrod (code 6B). Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille and headlight trim, a fender-mounted antenna, a tan vinyl top, a fender-mounted antenna, color-keyed sport mirror caps with a manual driver-side remote, wheel well and rocker trim, and side impact moldings.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 14-inch black wheels with full hub caps is wrapped in 225/70R14 General radial tires with 2022 date codes.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in Medium Ginger leather and vinyl (code DF). Features include manual windows, power steering, an AM radio, a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and woodgrain trim. The selling dealer states that the dashboard has a small issue on the passenger side, which can be seen in the carousel to the right.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, amps, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The rolled-over odometer shows a figure equivalent to 125,831 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
