Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1966 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street build was rotisserie-restored and constructed by Classics Plus Inc. in Savage, Minnesota. Power is provided by a 468cid big-block V8 equipped with a rebuilt Dyer’s Blowers 6-71 supercharger and backed by a built TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include color-keyed bumpers, a full tube chassis, a narrowed Ford nine-inch rear axle, four-wheel disc brakes, bucket seats, and a tilt steering column. Finished in red with custom graphics over a gray cloth interior, this Nova comes from the selling dealer with full build documentation and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the rotisserie restoration, the body was refinished in red with custom graphics. Features include body-color bumpers, a chrome grille with body-color accents, a driver-side mirror, a power antenna, and chrome taillight bezels. A full walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of Weld Racing wheels in staggered sizes is wrapped in new Mickey Thompson radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bucket seats, door panels, and door trim are upholstered in gray cloth. Features include a tilt steering column, manual windows and steering, a floor-mounted B&M automatic transmission shifter, a polished roll cage, and body-color trim. A polished battery case and a fuel cell are mounted in the trunk.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of AutoMeter gauges that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reading is not disclosed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 468cid big-block V8 equipped with a rebuilt Dyer’s Blowers 6-71 supercharger and backed by a built TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include Brodex aluminum heads, polished aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, dual Holley 750-cfm four-barrel carburetors built by Chuck Nuytten Carburetors, a polished Griffin aluminum radiator, and polished inner fenders. The smooth firewall, chassis tubes, and front frame stub have been finished to match the body.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Nova has been modified to accept a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with polished tubular control arms and tubular shocks. A narrowed Ford nine-inch solid rear drive axle with 3.89:1 gears has been installed and mounted with a four-link suspension. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel discs. The exhaust flows from the long tube headers through side-exit outlets.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The selling dealer will include full documentation of the build as part of the sale.
