Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This restored 1966 Chevrolet Impala is powered by a non-original 327cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power Wilwood front disc brakes, bucket seats, a center console, and analog Dakota Digital gauges. Finished in red over a black vinyl interior, this Impala comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior was refinished in red under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, an aluminum grille, bodyside moldings, Super Sport emblems, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, and rocker moldings. The selling dealer notes that slight bubbling at the bottom of the passenger-side door is visible.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 18-inch aluminum Chevrolet Rally-style wheels with 1967 Chevrolet police car-style hub caps is wrapped in 235/45 front and 255/45 rear Lexani radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual windows, power steering, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and an AM radio.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The Dakota Digital analog instruments located ahead of the driver include a 160-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 2,637 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a non-original L30 327cid V8 with an HC suffix code and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include red aluminum Corvette valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, and a chrome air cleaner. A safety inspection was recently completed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Impala was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power Wilwood front disc brakes and rear drums. Dual exhaust outlets exit at the rear.
