A 120-mph speedometer, clock, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, and battery are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 48,580 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by the reportedly numbers-matching L35 396cid V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. According to the selling dealer, the engine has a JA suffix code. When new, the L35 V8 produced 325 horsepower. Engine bay features include a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, chrome valve covers, tube exhaust headers, and a chrome air cleaner lid. A safety inspection was recently completed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevelle SS is equipped with an independent front suspension and a 12-bolt solid rear drive axle with Positraction. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
