OVERVIEW
This 1947 MG TC was restored approximately 10 years ago and is powered by a 1,250cc inline four-cylinder engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include right-hand drive, a folding windshield, bucket seats, a rear-mounted spare tire, a luggage rack, knock-off wheels, and a front fog light. Finished in red and equipped with a folding convertible top over a tan vinyl interior, this MG comes from the selling dealer with a tan top boot and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration process, the exterior was refinished in red. Features include a front fog light with a stone guard, dual chrome headlight housings, a chrome radiator shell with a red insert, a folding windshield, a driver-side mirror, a folding convertible top, a body-color fuel tank, a rear-mounted spare tire, and a chrome luggage rack. The selling dealer states that two small scratches caused by the hood latches are present on the left front fender.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 19-inch chrome knock-off wheels is wrapped in 4.75/5.00 x 19 Blockley bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two bucket seats are upholstered in tan vinyl. Features include manual right-hand-drive steering, a four-spoke banjo steering wheel with a cream grip, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, a woodgrain dashboard fascia, and tan vinyl trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 105-mph speedometer, 6,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the oil pressure and amps are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 347 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an XPAG 1,250cc inline four-cylinder engine and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. A battery cutoff switch has been installed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This MG is equipped with a solid front axle and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear through dual tips.
