OVERVIEW
This 1936 Ford Model 68 three-window coupe received a mechanical and cosmetic frame-off restoration completed in 2020. It is powered by a 221cid V8 backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Features include mechanical drum brakes, manual steering, a rear-mounted spare tire with a body-color cover, accessory beauty rings, an AM radio, a rumble seat, and a heater. Finished in Washington Blue over a tan mohair interior, this Ford comes with vehicle documentation and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the frame-off restoration, the rust-free original sheet metal was refinished in the original color of Washington Blue, according to the seller. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, a four-piece hood, dual mirrors, rubber running boards with bright trim, a rumble seat, a manual roll-down rear window, and a body-color spare tire carrier.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of Washington Blue steel wheels with accessory trim rings and center caps is wrapped in whitewall bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat, door panels, and cabin trim are upholstered in tan mohair. Features include manual steering and windows, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, a heater, an AM radio, the reportedly original floor pans, and a manual roll-down rear window. The rumble seat area includes a tan vinyl bench seat, matching trim, and a rubber floor mat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 2,968 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 221cid V8 and backed by a three-speed manual transmission. The seller states that an oil change was completed and all fluids were serviced within the last 500 miles.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Ford was factory-equipped with a solid front axle and a solid rear drive axle with a closed driveline. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel mechanical drums. A single exhaust outlet exits at the rear.
