This 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL is finished in white with a dark blue convertible top and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car was sold new at Wood Imports, Inc., in Detroit, Michigan, in August of 1972. Equipment includes fog lamps, modern Pioneer sound system, and air conditioning. Located in Alsip, Illinois, this R107 350SL is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean Illinois title.
The car is finished in white and has a dark blue retractable soft top, along with chrome accents for the bumpers, side-view mirrors, and windshield trim. Contrasting black bodyside moldings are equipped as well as bumper guards both front and rear. Additional equipment includes fog lamps, a power antenna, and a single exit exhaust with dual tips.
Factory 14” steel wheels feature color-coordinated white Mercedes-Benz wheel covers. The car is equipped with power steering and power brakes.
The interior is fitted with tan carpeting and saddle leather bucket seats, along with matching floor mats and door panels. Factory air conditioning is equipped, while the windows are hand-crank operated, and the dash is equipped with a lockable glove compartment. The audio system is an aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit, and the center console has a gated shift lever.
Instrumentation is framed by a black 4-spoke steering wheel and includes a 160-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer, along with accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The 6-digit odometer reads 73k miles, which are original to the vehicle per the selling dealer.
The 4.5-liter M117 V8 has a Bosch fuel injection and is equipped with a white-finished air cleaner. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission.
The sale includes the original owner’s manual, maintenance booklets, and other documentation from the selling dealership in Michigan.

Other than the upholstery, carpet, and speakers, what else on the car is not original? Is there anything on the car currently not working/broken or not operating properly? How does it drive? Is it a daily driver? How does it drive on the highway?
